The Attack at Râul Alb

The doctors in Romania gave me no chance. I had been crushed under the wheels of an off-road vehicle, driven by an individual who passes himself off as an environmental activist. The case quickly made it onto every news channel. Against my will, I had become a matter of national interest. The Prime Minister at that time — Victor Viorel Ponta, a prosecutor by profession — stepped into the spotlight with a mendacious statement, issued by the Government of Romania, in which he pre-judged the matter in favor of my attackers, and his message changed the entire course of the investigation. The order had been given; I had become a „target.” My executioners moved under the protection of the „system,” while I lay in agony between life and death.

My story — the story of the investments on Râul Alb — has been told in many different ways by the propaganda apparatus of an interest group that claims to defend the Environment. Yet every version has religiously followed two essential lines of manipulation. First, the idea of a hypothetical ecological disaster on „the last virgin valley” has been obsessively pushed — which is entirely false. No, Râul Alb is not a wild river. Every study carried out in the valley proves it. All of them, without a single exception! Just as any person of good faith who visits the area can see for himself, with his own eyes. On the other hand — and now we arrive at the true aim of this manipulation! — the micro-hydropower project on Râul Alb is still included in every official development plan for the region. So the investment can go forward; it is only that, from now on, this business should be handled solely by those persons „approved” by the system. The real stake was (and still is!) that I should disappear from the project at any price. Even at the cost of my life!

How far can the lynching be taken in the oppressive system that has confiscated Romania? That is what I invite you to see, with facts and documents, in what follows.

Episode 1 -„Attack on national security”

The story of the Assassination Attempt at Râul Alb is concrete testimony of how the mafia system operates in Romania. It's a story with people you could meet on the street, but who, at some point, choose to follow orders, out of interest, obedience, or cowardice.

The media manipulation campaign continued with a new raid at Râul Alb, on 21 May 2015. On the route of the investments, I met Dejeu Călin, Păvaloiu Dan (from TVR 2 Cluj), and two more people with video cameras.

Episode 7 – NGO Members Hunting for the Sensational

It was a Sunday, a week before the attack at Râul Alb. In the area of the construction site at Coroieşti, Sălăşan Luca and his girlfriend – Leordean Sara – made their appearance.

The on-site investigation began half an hour after the commission of the attempted murder. So, the criminal investigation bodies reached the scene immediately, where the traces of the incident were unaltered.

To understand the abuses that followed the attempted murder at Râul Alb, it is good to remember the context: it was 2015, the year in which justice was administered in the name of the “national interest” from the living room of General Gabriel Oprea, at the time Minister of the Interior.

At the Haţeg Police headquarters, the media lynching against us was running on a television set placed in the institution’s hallway. Prosecutor Herban’s hearings lasted until the dawn of Monday, 25 May 2015, but the “eco” aggressors were allowed to go home a little after midnight.

Those who instrumented the file of the attack at Râul Alb worked openly in favor of my aggressors. Immediately after the Prime Minister’s “order,” the prosecutors ordered, “precisely and on time,” the transfer of the file to the General Prosecutor’s Office, a move that was made with an out-of-the-ordinary speed.
