Those who know me know that I have always been an active man. In the village they called me “the Wanderer” because I took advantage of every day spent at Coroiești to walk along the valley of Râul Alb. It is true that I also took Ursulică with me, who was at that time a puppy of a few months. Only someone who loves nature from behind a keyboard could imagine that I, walking with him, am defending the valley “with dogs, in mafia style.”
When I chose to invest in the valley of Râul Alb, I took into account the beauty of the places and decided that I wanted to spend the rest of my life here. I began the projects at Râul Alb with the thought that they would be my most important achievement as an entrepreneur, investments for which I put all the family’s resources on the line and went into debt with the banks. I had been working on these projects for several years, during which time I walked all the paths, bought land, and prepared the place where I was going to live.
A Residence in the Built-up Area Presented as an MHP
In the spring of 2015, I began to work on a construction in the built-up area of the locality of Coroieşti which has nothing to do with the riverbed of Râul Alb. It is about a “Service residence and offices,” an investment that was not subject to environmental assessment. The residence is located in the BUILT-UP AREA, as results from the drawings related to the Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ).
Moreover, in the photographs published by Mihai Goţiu, it is clearly seen that on the public information panel it says: “Service residence and offices.” However, the propaganda continued to misinform, claiming that work was being carried out on micro-hydropower plants. The works on this project had the building permit, no. 6/ 23.09.2014 (doc.2), issued by the Sălaşul de Sus Town Hall, for which the APM Hunedoara communicated letter no. 7406/ AAA/ 18.09.2014, from which it results that “the service residence and offices is not subject to the procedures of environmental impact assessment and adequate assessment” (doc.3).
“This investment will not be carried out”
Sunday, 19 April 2015, While I was returning from a walk with my wife, I encountered an off-road vehicle on our company’s land (at Banea), in which there were three men, Munteanu Dacian, Delinesu Florin, and Costina Alexandru. They were filming the materials stored on the site, exactly in the place where the attempted murder would be committed. I introduced myself as the administrator of the company and offered to be at their disposal if they wanted information about the investment. They said they wanted to go upstream along the route of the micro-hydropower plant, and I asked their permission to get into their car to explain things to them, after which we traveled together three kilometers upstream.

My wife went on ahead on foot into the village, and I got into the car of the three and we traveled together along the route of the micro-hydropower plant’s adduction up to the “La Cheia” area. There Munteanu Dacian, the president of the NGO Society for Non-formal and Social Education (SENS), took out of the car’s trunk approval no. 17/ 2013, issued by the Administration of the Dinosaurs’ Geopark, for our micro-hydropower plant at Coroieşti. Then he told me that “this investment will not be carried out”. The approval had been issued at the request of the Environmental Protection Agency (APM) Hunedoara. I did not have it, nor did I know of its existence. It seemed unnatural to me that a “third party” not involved in the project would possess it. When I asked him where he got it from, he did not answer me. At that time, Munteanu Dacian was close to, or rather (possibly) infiltrated near, the administration of the Geopark. The fact that he had access to documents and information before us, coupled with his certainty that the micro-hydropower plant at Coroieşti would not be carried out, shows us that he was more than a simple NGO member. At that meeting the discussions were conducted in a perfectly normal tone. After we had talked for over 30 minutes, I proposed that we go up the valley together so they could film what they wanted, given that the route they wanted to take crossed our company’s land. Surprisingly, they refused me and turned back. From this, it is understood that they did not want to make a real documentation about the micro-hydropower plants. They only wanted to capture emotional images, which they would interpret and use against us, as they had done in previous visits as well. On leaving, I asked them to take me to Coroiești too, where we parted amicably. Three years later, Dejeu Călin would fabricate evidence (with the support of Munteanu Dacian) that there had been a conflict between us, but the lie is exposed by the accounts of those who accompanied Munteanu that day.
What is certain is that the three visitors of 19 April 2016 were in direct contact with Andrioni Alin, Dejeu Călin, Goţiu Mihai, and the other members of the “eco” group. In other words, the attempted murder of 24 May 2015 did not occur as a result of a spontaneous conflict, but was the consequence of a long series of raids and harassment.
Note – Photo details:
In the images, the three persons in the off-road vehicle can be seen: Munteanu Dacian is the one in the back seat of the car, and in the Geopark’s group photo he is the one with the beard. Costina Alexandru is the passenger on the right of the car, in the Geopark’s group photo being the one with the child in his arms. Delinescu Florin is the driver, the one with the blue cap in the Geopark’s group photo (doc.4). The images betray the close relationships between Munteanu Dacian and the administration of the Geopark. This explains the fact that he possessed a document (Approval no. 17 / 2013) about which I had not found out at the time, although I was directly involved in the project. Practically, Munteanu Dacian had access before us to documents and information about the investments we made at Râul Alb. We also find Delinescu Florin alongside Goţiu Mihai in the photographs they took when they came on the route of the investment at Râul Alb, on 28 March 2015 (art.1). He is the former custodian of the Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa Museum and was convicted of the theft of heritage goods (Dacian gold), then trafficked on the black market abroad (art.2).
