The incursion on the construction site at Râul Alb, on May 24, 2015, was carefully orchestrated, as confirmed by the statements of those involved.
Although they tried to make it seem as though they “accidentally regrouped” in Retezat, you’ll see that nothing was left to chance. Their “small” lies and “innocent” inaccuracies, skillfully mixed with indisputable truths, gradually distorted reality.
Using these tactics, the #eco group managed to create the false impression that they were the victims of a mafia-style attack, even though I’m the only one whose life was irreversibly destroyed by this event.
On the evening of Saturday, May 23, 2015—the day before the attempted murder—Alin Andrioni celebrated his birthday at Pensiunea Retezat, where Vasile Leordean and Gabriel Păun (of Agent Green) also appeared.
Călin Dejeu introduced Andrioni as a local guide and briefed Păun on the “aggression” that had supposedly occurred a week earlier against Luca Sălășan and Sara Leordean (as detailed in Episode 7).
They made plans that night to all go on-site the next day.
Dejeu’s statement:
“I know details regarding the incident, having discussed it by phone with Andrioni, Sălășan, and Păun.
I also spoke with Păun the day before the incident, knowing he was in the Hațeg area and that his NGO was involved in monitoring illegal logging, particularly in protected areas.
I suggested he visit the Râul Alb area and connected him with Andrioni.” (doc.1)
Păun Gabriel, president of Agent Green, corroborates that Dejeu had been contacting him repeatedly for two months prior.
On May 23, Dejeu put him in direct contact with Andrioni.
Despite these clear signs of coordination, all participants pretended the meetup was coincidental, claiming they just happened to book the same pension, far from the actual location of the incident.
Andrioni stated:
“Three days earlier, I was contacted by biologist Călin Dejeu from Cluj University, who told me I’d be contacted by someone from Agent Green, named Gabi Păun, about logging investigations.
I ended up at Pensiunea Retezat that night for my birthday, and by chance, Gabi Păun was also there, with an Austrian woman and two journalists from Deutsche Welle.” (doc.2)
There were no German journalists.
This fabricated claim was declared with ease during the investigation, then amplified by NGO-aligned media to create the illusion of a major international scandal—to our detriment.
Vasile Leordean also claimed he coincidentally ran into the group at the pension:
“I’m a friend of Alin Andrioni and saw his Facebook post about a microhydro project near where my sister was ‘assaulted’.
On the evening of May 23, I saw Andrioni celebrating his birthday at Pensiunea Retezat, along with others.
A representative of Agent Green was there, and we were asked to join them the next day to film a report with my sister.” (doc.3)
Andrioni adds:
“I was introduced to Gabriel Păun by my lawyer, Bogdan Bara.
We decided to visit the site the next day.
Vasile Leordean—my college friend—was also there.
On May 24, I met Păun and his Austrian friend at Sântămărie Orlea.
I picked them up in my car, while Vasile drove to Băiești to get his sister and her friend.
Then we all headed toward the Râul Alb site, where the incident from the previous week had taken place.”
So, at least four members of the group partied the night before at the pension.
On May 24, around 1:00 PM, Alin Andrioni drove over me with his vehicle.
Despite this, authorities did NOT test him for alcohol, although all involved stated that they had been drinking the previous night.
Was this a simple oversight by investigators?
Highly doubtful.
This case was kept under investigation for over six years, and this is just one of many examples of evidence being suppressed or manipulated in favor of the group that invaded my property.
The gathering at Pensiunea Retezat on May 23, 2015, was clearly premeditated.
Group members’ statements reveal that the next day’s actions were carefully planned.
Andrioni admitted:
“That evening, we decided who would go to which location:
Myself, Gabi Păun, Vasile Leordean, Sara Leordean, her friend Luca, and the journalist.
We left toward Râul Alb, aiming to reach an area with logging activity and ended up near the construction signs for Bocea Mihalache’s project in Coroiești.” (doc.4)
On May 24, 2015, Andrioni, Păun, Sălășan, Leordean Vasile, Leordean Sara, and Weidinger Gerit descended on the site.
Vasile Leordean began provoking and inciting violence without reason.
This group acted in a textbook premeditated fashion:
They created a negative public image of us using media propaganda.
They falsely accused us of being “aggressive mafiosi with clubs and dogs.”
They repeatedly visited the site, provoking and harassing us.
The May 23 meeting at the pension was clearly the strategic prep session for the final confrontation.
The next day, they invaded our property and initiated violence.
